Mark Schuyler prepares students not only to succeed on the college entrance exams but also to build essential skills for college and the workplace. For twenty years, he has successfully helped high performers looking for a perfect score, as well as students with an array of learning disabilities.
Mark brings his passion for teaching as well as his professional background as an SAT question writer, having produced thousands of questions. This background gives him a tremendous advantage over all the tutors who do not understand the psychology behind the questions and the trap answers.
Have fun working with a high energy teacher who has the enthusiasm, skills, and experience to help you get a great score!

What Mark's Students Say...
"Mark's experience writing SAT questions definitely shows in his tutoring. He makes every session fun, and the weekly two-hour lessons go by super quick. Mark helped me score a perfect 1600. I got into Columbia, my top choice school. Truly, I couldn't have done it without his coaching."

"First off, I want to say Thank You. I just graduated from UCLA, and it would have never happened without your support 4 years ago studying for the SAT. I'm now reaching out to you for my little sister, who is a Junior and needs your help for the college entrance exams. Hope all is well with you!"

"Mr Schuyler: You tutored me for the ACT and I got a 33 on the February exam. Now I have my choice of a full ride to Wesleyan, Middlebury, University of Arkansas, Hendrix, and University of Richmond. I would not have all these great choices without your guidance. Thank you!"

My Services
I offer a wide variety of services including SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT, SSAT and ISEE Prep. Frequently clients want a combination of SAT and ACT Prep. If this describes you, just select whichever test you think you might be more important. You are not locked in. There is a great deal of overlap between the two tests, and most students end up taking both tests, even if they focus a bit more on one of them.

SAT PREP
Don't let the fact the SAT is going digital in 2024 bother you. It's testing all the same skills it has always tested. Now that we get to take the SAT on the computer, the test only takes two hours to complete instead of three. Not bad!

ACT PREP
The ACT is still mostly a pencil and paper test, except in a few select locations throughout 2024. Consequently, the test will take students more than an hour longer to complete. Almost all colleges accept either the ACT or SAT. Your choice!

GMAT and GRE
Many of my SAT and ACT students return to work with me on their graduate admissions tests. While the GRE is a requirement for many grad school majors, the GMAT is specifically required to get an MBA. Will the fun never end?

SSAT and ISEE
The SSAT and ISEE are admissions tests given by private high schools, and both tests are simply "watered down" versions of the SAT and ACT. It's important to start figuring out standardized tests early in a student's academic career.
